2009 Buick Enclave Camshaft Position Sensor Location and replacement
Here's where to find the Camshaft position sensors and replacement of Sensor B on bank 1 of my 2009 Buick Enclave. It's really a simple job might take up to 1 hour to complete. This is unedited to give a better perspective on how to do this.
I purchased my Bosch Sensor from
RockAuto.com for $23.79 literally half the price of my local dealership for the same exact part. This repair is the exact same for GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, and Saturn Outlook, remember these cars have 4 camshaft position sensors. Good luck hope this helps. Like and comment!

    Replaced multiple relays for short term fixes. The relays were fine though. The issue was the fuse box not being securely mounted. It is secured by two bolts going through the relay box. They would not tighten securely, creating intermittent starting. Back the bolts out some, slide in a slip lock washer or piece of curved wire under the bolt heads, and tighten.

    Update: This did NOT solve my issues and i ended up having to have the timing chain replaced before an eventual failure happened, with working a regular job and weather being an issue i took it into a local Buick dealership to have them do the work, as it would've taken me 2-3 weeks to tear down and replace on my free time. The cost was around $2300.

    Hey, where there any symptoms for the reason you replaced the sensor? My buick won't start now, it was losing power before it died. The codes that I found on this rig is p0016, 17, 18, 19. p0008, p0009. Just curious if all 4 sensors bad on my rig and maybe why it doesn't start.

    • @brettbeez
      @brettbeez 6 месяцев назад

      Sounds like your timing chain is busted. Symptoms before that happening would be those codes with the check engine light on, plus on start up, you would hear a rattling sound. If your car is no longer starting, that might be the cause if the timing chain is no good.

    • @RichardJohnson-up9js

    • @brettbeez
      @brettbeez 6 месяцев назад

      @RichardJohnson-up9js that's a long time for the rattling to go unchecked . Unfortunately, your engine might be locked up from a broken timing chain. I'm only guessing.

    Side detection system ran a feed back into dash modules for me. Unplugged them solved the problem. Symptom no locks, no fob, no radio, no battery gauge, no crank, no signals, no power windows, antitheft light would come on and stay on when battery dropped to zero on dash. New battery also read 11.6 volts, as well as old battery. Side detection caused feedback, pcm told modules to shut off, and engine to not crank. Fixed it after new battery and paid tow truck driver to bring me home. Hope this helps someone.
